Political Philanthropy

Politics is rarely associated with benevolence.  It is rarely associated with enlightenment, either.  It is hardly ever associated with appropriateness.  It is almost never humane.   Perhaps you feel threatened when invited to reflect on questions associated with the justifiable examination of your own beliefs and practices. You may believe that enlightened benevolence is irrelevant to political decision-making.  Yet all decision-making involving more than one person is political.  Even personal decisions are political when those decisions influence the lives of other people and/or other species. Perhaps you regard political philanthropy as an art. You may even regard politics and/or philanthropy as arts. The arts are mainly associated with aesthetics and emotions, even when they attempt to address and/or express ethics, and possibly even share knowledge. Fairness is a subject associated with ethics. Pity the sycophants. Pity the psychopaths. Pity the narcissists. Pity the politicians. Pity the wealthy. Pity the healthy. All are ignorant. All are fools. Pity the arrogant. Pity the experts. Pity the abusive. Pity the famous. Pity the superficial. Pity the criminals. All are vulnerable. All are cruel. Pity the powerful. Pity the deluded. Pity the aggressive. Pity the impressive. Pity the complacent. Pity the privileged. All are mortal. All will die. Pity is a powerful tool. Use it for good in the world. Admiration is worthy of pity. Responsibility is worthy of pity. Laziness is worthy of pity. Greed is worthy of pity.  Incompetence is worthy of pity. Unkindness is worthy of pity. Vanity is worthy of pity. Obsession is worthy of pity. Lust is worthy of pity. Boredom is worthy of pity. But how does your pity express itself? How is your pity expressed through sorrow ? How is your pity reflective of sympathy , and towards whom?

How do you define political philanthropy ? How do you define political satire ? When, in your view, is political satire a form of philanthropy ? Perhaps you use various expressions of fiction and satire as tools for societal and political improvement. How do you know when social criticism is necessary? When do you know that a particular approach to that criticism is necessary? You are currently experiencing political philanthropy and Political Philanthropy .
